Quick Start: Choose Your Path

Wistudi can be used for learning, creating, teaching, and managing learner activity. The best place to begin depends on what you want to do first.

You do not need a separate account for each role. The same Wistudi account can be used to access learning content, create interactive experiences, share them with others, and review learner progress.

Use this guide to choose the path that best matches your current goal.

Choose Your Main Goal

I want to learn

Choose this path if you are joining Wistudi to complete content created or shared by someone else.

You will mainly use Learner Space.

I want to create

Choose this path if you want to build your own Flows or Interactive Videos.

You will mainly use Creator Space and your Workspace.

I want to teach and manage learners

Choose this path if you want to share content, deliver learning experiences, review activity, provide feedback, or monitor learner performance.

You will mainly use Creator Space, Creator Tools, and learner reporting features.

Path 1: I’m a Learner

As a learner, you can use Wistudi to access Flows and Interactive Videos, complete activities, submit responses, and review your learning progress.

You may enter Wistudi through:

  • A shared link from an educator, trainer, or creator
  • Content already available in your Learner Space
  • A learning experience assigned or shared with you

Your first steps

1. Open the learning experience

Select the shared link or open the content from your Wistudi account.

Some content may require you to sign in before you can continue. If you do not have an account, you may be asked to create one first.

After signing in or completing onboarding, Wistudi should return you to the Flow or Interactive Video you were trying to access.

2. Review the learning experience

Before starting, check the available information, including:

  • Title and description
  • Creator or instructor
  • Learning requirements
  • Progress or completion expectations
  • Passing requirements, when applicable

3. Start or continue learning

Select the available action to begin. Depending on your current status, this may be shown as:

  • Enter Flow
  • Start Lesson
  • Watch Now
  • Continue
  • Resume
  • Review

Wistudi records your progress while you complete the learning experience.

4. Complete the activities

A Flow or Interactive Video may include:

  • Multiple-choice questions
  • True or false questions
  • Picture quizzes
  • Sorting activities
  • Written responses
  • Assignments
  • Polls
  • Discussions
  • Reflections
  • Other interactive blocks

Some activities are graded automatically. Others may need to be reviewed manually by an instructor.

5. Review your progress and results

Depending on the learning experience and your level of access, you may be able to view:

  • Completion progress
  • Scores
  • Activity results
  • Feedback
  • Submission status
  • Attempts used
  • Overall learning performance

Some results may appear directly inside the Flow or Interactive Video, while more detailed information may appear in your learner reports.

6. Return later

You can return to unfinished content from Learner Space or through the original shared link.

Wistudi will normally allow you to continue from your latest saved point.

Path 2: I’m a Creator

As a creator, you can build interactive learning content using Flows and Interactive Videos.

You will mainly work inside Creator Space.

Your first steps

1. Open Creator Space

Use the space switcher in the Wistudi navigation to move from Learner Space to Creator Space.

Creator Space contains the tools used to create, manage, publish, and share learning content.

2. Choose what to create

Wistudi currently supports two main creation formats.

Interactive Flow

A Flow is a structured learning experience made from Pages and Blocks.

A Flow can include:

  • Learning content
  • Activities
  • Assessments
  • Assignments
  • Discussions
  • Resources
  • Reflections
  • Live learning elements

Flows are useful for courses, lessons, workshops, onboarding, training, and structured learning journeys.

Interactive Video

An Interactive Video adds questions, activities, and checkpoints to video content.

Interactive Videos are useful when you want learners to actively respond while watching instead of watching passively.

3. Create your first experience

Enter your Workspace and choose the relevant creation option.

For a Flow, you will create the Flow first and then add Pages, Collections when applicable, and Blocks.

For an Interactive Video, you will select or add a video and then build interactive checkpoints into the viewing experience.

4. Add content and activities

Choose the Blocks or interactive elements that support your learning goal.

Avoid adding activities simply because they are available. Each activity should have a clear purpose, such as:

  • Introducing information
  • Checking understanding
  • Encouraging reflection
  • Collecting responses
  • Assessing performance
  • Supporting discussion
  • Reinforcing learning

5. Configure the experience

Review the available settings before publishing.

Depending on the content type, settings may include:

  • Title and description
  • Visual identity
  • Learning mode
  • Completion rules
  • Passing requirements
  • Attempts
  • Feedback behaviour
  • Access settings
• Sharing options

6. Preview your content

Preview the experience before sharing it.

Check:

  • Content order
  • Instructions
  • Activity behaviour
  • Required activities
  • Grading
  • Scores
  • Navigation
  • Completion rules
  • Desktop layout
  • Learner experience

Previewing is important because the creator view and learner view may behave differently.

7. Publish to your Workspace

When your content meets the publishing requirements, publish it to your Workspace.

Publishing creates the version that can be previewed and shared with learners.

A published experience is not the same as a draft. Future changes may require a new version, depending on the type of change and whether learners have already started.

8. Share with learners

After publishing, choose the appropriate sharing method.

Common options include:

  • Standard sharing
  • Live Share
  • Private or controlled links
  • Limited-access links
  • Instructor-led delivery

The available options may depend on the content type and current platform release.

9. Review learner activity

Once learners begin, use Creator Tools and reporting features to review:

  • Participation
  • Completion
  • Scores
  • Attempts
  • Submissions
  • Feedback
  • Activity performance
  • Learner progress

Path 3: I’m an Instructor or Trainer

An instructor or trainer usually creates content, shares it with learners, manages access, and reviews learner activity.

This path includes both content creation and delivery.

Your first steps

1. Prepare the learning experience

Before sharing content, confirm that it is complete and ready for learners.

Check:

  • All required content is included
  • Instructions are clear
  • Activities work correctly
  • Grading settings are accurate
  • Passing requirements are correct
  • Required activities are marked correctly
  • Links and resources open properly
  • The learner preview has been tested

2. Choose how learners will participate

Decide whether the experience will be:

  • Self-paced
  • Delivered live
  • Shared with a selected group
  • Accessed through a controlled link
  • Used before, during, or after a workshop

The correct sharing option depends on how much control you need.

3. Use Standard Share for self-paced access

Standard Share is suitable when learners should access and complete the content in their own time.

Learners can usually:

  • Open the shared experience
  • Complete content independently
  • Return later
  • Continue from saved progress
  • Submit activities for review

4. Use Live Share for instructor-led delivery

Live Share is suitable when you are guiding learners through the experience in real time.

This can support situations such as:

  • Workshops
  • Classroom delivery
  • Live training
  • Guided activities
  • Synchronous learning sessions

The instructor may control the pace or guide learners through selected parts of the experience.

5. Manage access

Depending on the sharing method, you may be able to control:

  • Who can join
  • How many people can access
  • Whether a link can be reused
  • Link expiration
  • Current learner access
  • Standard or Live Share mode

Access controls should be configured before the link is distributed.

6. Monitor participation

During or after delivery, review learner activity to understand:

  • Who joined
  • Who started
  • Who completed
  • Which activities remain pending
  • Which learners need support
  • Which submissions require manual review

7. Review and grade submissions

Some activity types are graded automatically.

Other activity types may require manual review, including:

  • Assignments
  • Written responses
  • Guided discussions
  • Other open-response activities

When manual review is required, open the learner submission, apply the appropriate score when grading is enabled, and provide feedback.

8. Review reports

Use Activity Reports and learner reporting tools to review performance across the learning experience.

Reports may include:

  • Completion
  • Progress
  • Scores
  • Attempts
  • Activity outcomes
  • Submission status
  • Learner engagement
  • Manual feedback

9. Follow up with learners

Use learner results to identify:

  • Learners who have not started
  • Learners who are behind
  • Learners who did not pass
  • Activities that caused difficulty
  • Submissions waiting for review
  • Areas that may need to be retaught

You Can Use More Than One Path

Wistudi does not permanently assign you to one role.

You may use the platform in several ways.

For example:

  • A learner can later create their own Flow.
  • A creator can complete content shared by another creator.
  • An instructor can create, teach, and review learner reports.
  • A trainer can use both Standard Share and Live Share.
  • A creator can switch between Learner Space and Creator Space.

Your starting path simply helps you find the most relevant tools and Help Centre articles first.
