Navigating the Wistudi Platform

Wistudi is designed around a clear navigation system that separates learning, content creation, learner management, and account controls.

The exact navigation items available to you may depend on:

  • Whether you are in Learner Space or Creator Space
  • Which features you have unlocked
  • Your account permissions
  • The type of content you are viewing
  • The current Wistudi release

This guide explains the main navigation, page header, profile menu, search tools, workspace controls, and common ways to move through the platform.

Main Navigation

The main navigation gives you access to the primary areas of Wistudi.

Depending on your current space, it may include:

  • Dashboard
  • Discover
  • Library
  • My Progress
  • Workspace
  • Creator Tools
  • Analytics
  • Notifications
  • Profile
  • Settings

Some items may remain hidden until they become relevant or unlock through platform activity.

Learner Space Navigation

Learner Space focuses on accessing and completing learning experiences.

The navigation may include:

Dashboard

Provides an overview of your learning activity, recommendations, shared content, and next steps.

Discover

Allows you to browse public or recommended learning content when the feature is available.

Library

Contains learning experiences available to you, including content you have started, completed, saved, or received through sharing.

My Progress

Provides access to your learning progress, scores, completion status, and feedback.

Notifications

Shows important updates related to content, submissions, feedback, invitations, or platform activity.

Profile

Allows you to review and update your personal details, interests, image, and preferences.

Creator Space Navigation

Creator Space focuses on creating, managing, publishing, and reviewing learning content.

The navigation may include:

Dashboard

Provides a summary of your recent creator activity, drafts, published content, learner engagement, credits, and suggested next actions.

Workspace

Contains the Flows, Interactive Videos, and other content you create or manage.

Creator Tools

Provides access to learner management, reports, grading, feedback, and advanced tools.

Analytics

Provides broader insights into content performance, learner engagement, and activity trends.

Notifications

Shows updates related to learner activity, submissions, publishing, sharing, and account actions.

Profile and Settings

Allows you to manage personal information, account preferences, storage, and platform settings.

Space Switcher

The space switcher allows you to move between Learner Space and Creator Space.

It is normally located near the top or bottom of the main navigation, depending on the current layout.

To switch spaces:

  1. Open the main navigation.
  2. Find the current space name.
  3. Select the space switcher.
  4. Choose Learner Space or Creator Space.
  5. Wait for the selected space to load.

The navigation options and interface theme may change after switching.

Collapsing and Expanding the Navigation

The main navigation may be expanded or collapsed.

Expanded navigation

The expanded view shows:

  • Navigation icons
  • Section names
  • Space name
  • Profile details
  • Additional controls

Collapsed navigation

The collapsed view uses less screen space and may show only icons.

Hover over or select an icon to confirm its function when labels are hidden.

The collapsed view can be useful on smaller desktop screens, especially when working inside the Flow Builder or reports.

Navigation Themes

Wistudi may use different visual themes to distinguish platform spaces.

For example:

  • Learner Space may use a lighter theme.
  • Creator Space may use a darker theme.
  • Icons and highlights may use different accent colours.
  • The current space name may remain visible.

These visual differences help reduce confusion when switching between learning and creator tasks.

Page Header

The page header appears near the top of the current screen.

Depending on the page, it may include:

  • Page title
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Search
  • Filters
  • View controls
  • Content status
  • Notifications
  • Profile menu
  • Primary action buttons

The header changes based on the current platform area.

For example, the Workspace header may show content filters, while the Flow Builder header may show preview, status, and settings controls.

Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs show where you are within Wistudi.

For example:

Workspace → Flow Name → Collection → Page

Breadcrumbs can help you:

  • Understand the content hierarchy
  • Return to a previous level
  • Confirm which Flow or Page you are editing
  • Move through complex content structures

Select an earlier breadcrumb to return to that level.

Profile Menu

The profile menu is usually opened by selecting your profile image, initials, or account icon.

It may include:

  • View Profile
  • Edit Profile
  • Account Settings
  • Language
  • Help Centre
  • Switch Space
  • Sign Out

The exact options may depend on your account and the current platform release.

Notifications

The notification control may appear in the page header or main navigation.

Notifications may include:

  • New learner submissions
  • Feedback updates
  • Shared content
  • Invitations
  • Publishing changes
  • Reports ready for review
  • Platform announcements
  • Account alerts

A badge or number may show how many notifications are unread.

Select a notification to open the relevant page or action.

Search

Search helps you find content, learners, reports, or Help Centre information.

The available search scope depends on where you are.

Workspace search

May search by:

  • Flow title
  • Video title
  • Status
  • Creator
  • Content type
  • Version
  • Sharing mode

Learner Space search

May search by:

  • Learning title
  • Creator
  • Category
  • Topic
  • Completion status

Reports search

May search by:

  • Learner name
  • Email address
  • Content title
  • Activity
  • Status

Help Centre search

May search by:

  • Feature name
  • Task
  • Error message
  • Article title
  • Common question

Use clear keywords rather than full sentences when possible.

Filters

Filters help narrow the items displayed.

Depending on the page, filters may include:

  • Content type
  • Status
  • Date
  • Learner
  • Learner type
  • Learning mode
  • Share mode
  • Version
  • Completion
  • Published state

Multiple filters may be used together.

If expected content disappears, clear the current filters and search again.

Sorting

Sorting changes the order in which results appear.

Common sorting options may include:

  • Recently updated
  • Recently created
  • Oldest first
  • Title A–Z
  • Title Z–A
  • Most viewed
  • Most active
  • Highest completion
  • Lowest completion

The available options depend on the current page.

Column Selector

Some tables include a Column Selector.

This allows you to choose which columns appear.

For example, a learner table may offer:

  • Learner name
  • Content
  • Content type
  • Share mode
  • Version
  • Status
  • Progress
  • Score
  • Last activity

Hiding unnecessary columns can make large tables easier to use.

Your selected columns may remain saved for future visits.

View Controls

Some areas allow you to switch between different views.

Examples may include:

  • Grid view
  • List view
  • Structure view
  • Page Focus
  • Cards
  • Table view

Each view presents the same information in a different format.

Choose the view that best supports the task you are completing.

Structure View

In the Flow Builder, Structure View shows the wider organisation of the Flow.

It may display:

  • Flow
  • Collections
  • Pages
  • Activities
  • Completion states

Structure View is useful when organising or reviewing the full learning journey.

Page Focus

Page Focus concentrates on the current Page and its Blocks.

It is useful when:

  • Building content
  • Editing activities
  • Reviewing layout
  • Working on one lesson
  • Reducing navigation clutter

Page Focus is a builder view and is not the same as a Flow type.

Workspace Cards

In card view, each Flow or Interactive Video appears as a content card.

A card may show:

  • Thumbnail
  • Title
  • Content type
  • Status
  • Last updated date
  • Primary action
  • More actions menu

The primary action changes depending on content status.

Examples include:

  • Continue Editing
  • Preview
  • Edit Checkpoints
  • Make Interactive
  • Watch
  • Review

Three-Dot Action Menu

The three-dot menu provides additional actions that do not need to remain visible at all times.

Depending on the content type and status, it may include:

  • Edit Details
  • Open Settings
  • Edit Checkpoints
  • Analytics
  • Version History
  • Archive
  • Delete
  • Duplicate
  • Share

Some actions may be unavailable when content is published, in review, archived, or being used by active learners.

Primary Action Buttons

Wistudi uses a primary action to highlight the most likely next step.

Examples include:

Learner actions

  • Enter Flow
  • Start Lesson
  • Continue
  • Resume
  • Review
  • Watch Now

Creator actions

  • Create
  • Continue Editing
  • Preview
  • Publish
  • Share
  • Edit Checkpoints

The primary action may change when the status changes.

Disabled Actions

An action may appear disabled when it is not currently available.

Common reasons include:

  • Required settings are incomplete.
  • The content does not meet publishing requirements.
  • The content is in review.
  • You do not have permission.
  • The feature has not unlocked.
  • The content has active learners.
  • The current device is not supported.
  • The action is not available for that status.

Hover over or select the related notice when available to understand what is required.

Status Labels

Status labels help identify the current state of content or learner activity.

Examples include:

  • Draft
  • Published
  • Unlisted
  • Archived
  • In Review
  • Needs Attention
  • Not Started
  • In Progress
  • Completed
  • Passed
  • Pending
  • Submitted

The available actions may change based on the status.

Content Type Labels

Content type labels help distinguish between:

  • Flow
  • Interactive Video
  • Standard Video
  • Activity
  • Assignment
  • Live Event

These may appear on cards, reports, filters, and learner tables.

Share Mode Labels

A Share Mode label indicates how the learner received access.

The main values are:

  • Standard
  • Live Share

This label may appear in Learner Overview, Activity Reports, and content access records.

Version Labels

Version information shows which published version of a Flow a learner can access.

For example:

  • Version 1
  • Version 2
  • Current Version
  • Archived Version

Learners who started an earlier version may remain on that version even after a new version is published.

Navigating the Workspace

The Workspace may include tabs or filters for different content states.

Examples may include:

  • All Content
  • Published
  • Drafts
  • Unlisted
  • Interactive Videos
  • Standard Videos
  • Archived

Use search, filters, and sorting to narrow the list.

Select a content card to open it, or use the available action button.

Navigating Inside a Flow

A Flow may contain:

  • Collections
  • Pages
  • Blocks

Use the left or right navigation panel to move through the Flow structure.

Depending on the view, you may see:

  • Collection names
  • Page titles
  • Activity icons
  • Completed labels
  • Pending labels
  • Locked content
  • Current Page indicator

Select a Page to open it.

Navigating Inside an Interactive Video

An Interactive Video may include:

  • Video player
  • Timeline
  • Checkpoints
  • Activity panel
  • Progress
  • Mode information
  • Score or passing information

Use the player controls to:

  • Play
  • Pause
  • Adjust volume
  • Move through allowed sections
  • Enter full screen
  • Continue after activities

Some modes restrict skipping or require activities to be completed before continuing.

Back and Close Controls

Use the platform’s own back, close, or exit controls when available.

This helps Wistudi save your location and return you to the correct page.

Closing the browser tab during editing, uploading, submitting, or saving may interrupt the action.

Save and Exit

Some creation areas may include Save and Exit.

This action saves the current work and returns you to the Workspace or previous page.

Make sure saving is complete before closing the browser.

A publishing action may remain disabled until required content is saved.

Responsive Navigation

On smaller desktop screens, Wistudi may adapt the interface by:

  • Collapsing the main navigation
  • Moving controls into menus
  • Repositioning side panels
  • Stacking content
  • Hiding optional columns
  • Reducing card width

These changes preserve usability without removing important functionality.

Keyboard Navigation

Wistudi aims to support keyboard access for important controls.

Common keyboard actions may include:

  • Tab to move between controls
  • Shift + Tab to move backwards
  • Enter or Space to activate a selected control
  • Escape to close a menu or dialog
  • Arrow keys to move through some menus

Visible focus indicators show which control is selected.

Refresh and try again.

The interface looks too narrow

Try:

  • Expanding the browser window
  • Resetting zoom to 100%
  • Collapsing the main navigation
  • Closing unnecessary side panels
  • Using a larger desktop screen
